The NPS 03 is a position control for OWIS nanopositioners with piezo drive and measuring system. It is available as 1-axis, 2-axis or 3-axis version. Parallel operation is possible. The control has a stable metal housing and can be operated via a PC using a USB interface. The NPS 03 is designed for open-loop and closed-loop operation and has several motion and positioning functions. Using the AAC (Automatic Amplitude Control), the step sizes are set to 300 nm and exactly controlled. Precise, constant motion is possible. The control works in a fine positioning mode which enables a resolution of 50 nm (theoretical value) in closed-loop operation. For applications where no electrical noise is accepted, the fine positioning mode can be deactivated. The positioning sequence ends with a full step, the drive is idle. In manual operation, single steps and continuous steps with selectable velocity are possible. An automatic reference motion rounds off the extensive positioning functions. The control observes the measuring system in the nanopositioner. Malfunction or breakdown are displayed. The NPS 03 is delivered ready for connection, the power supply is integrated. Additional to the connecting cable and the USB cable, a CD with corresponding documents as well as a software tool and the SDK for C, C++ and LabView are part of delivery. A USB 1.1 (or higher) interface as well as Win 2000 or Win XP are required. |
